Required Proofs of Residency Within Troy 30-C Boundaries
The initial 22-23 Residency checks are underway! Please check your email for more information. We will be checking again before the school year starts and periodically throughout the year. If the system flags you later, you will have to prove residency. If you are unable to prove you live within the Troy 30C boundaries at any time, you must withdraw your student(s) and register at the school where you reside. If you move or will be moving, please let your school know.
✅ If you are a HOMEOWNER and have received a CLEAR letter, you do not need to provide residency AT THIS TIME.
⚠️ If you are a RENTER and have received a CLEAR letter, you still need to provide an updated LEASE each year and upon expiration. Failure to provide these updated documents will result in the registration portal being locked.
⚠️ ⚠️ If you are THIRD-PARTY (living with a homeowner or renter) and have received a CLEAR letter, you still have to fill out the third-party affidavit, and you and the person you are living with have to provide updated documentation each year. Failure to provide these updated documents will result in the registration portal being locked.
❌ If you DID NOT CLEAR, this means our system found inconsistencies with the address provided to us versus what is found in public records or investigations. The registration portal will be locked for these families.
Acceptable Proofs of Residency
ONE - mortgage, deed/title, property tax bill, or rental agreement that spans the entire school year
ONE - current driver's license with in-district address
TWO - different utility bills
One of each: (water, gas, electric, garbage, internet), recent payroll stub, or homeowners/auto insurance policy (utility bill and/or pay stub must be within 30 days of registration)
